Things my 14 month old has done:
Walks into bathroom, opens the second drawer, stands on his tip toes, reaches in the drawer and grabs his sippy cup, (when or how it got there is beyond me), tosses his head back and takes a swig. He then puts it back in the drawer, shuts it, and walks out.
He continuously takes his paci out of his mouth and throws it on the floor board. He then will scream until we pick it up and give it back to him. Then the whole thing repeats. I let him cry for a good while after about the 75th time. I told him "No, no, no. No paci on the ground, your paci goes in your mouth. If you throw it down there again, it's staying down there." This time, the paci stays in his mouth. 5 minutes later, I hear the paci come out of his mouth (funny how, as a mother, you know exactly what sound I'm talking about). I turned and glared at him. He is grinning so big. He then slowly lifts his hand from side of the car seat. In his hand is his paci. He busts out laughing. Like "Ha-ha, I gotcha mom! You thought I was going to throw that down on the floor didn't ya!"
He loves dogs. He loves seeing a dog in real life, on the tv, and in books. He also has learned how to "bark" like a dog and will start barking anytime he sees anything that remotely looks like dog. So of course, his favorite page in "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" is the page with the white dog. My mom was reading him Brown Bear and Bryce got SUPER excited on the page with the purple cat. He looked like he was going to explode with excitement. He then started barking like a dog and turned the page. The white dog was on the next page!
He can drink from an open cup. I was shocked to see him pick up a glass and very carefully tilt it back just enough to get some water in his mouth and then put it back down. I was so surprised that he didn't pour it all down his shirt. When did he learn that?
He is starting to recognize places we frequently go. I pulled onto my parents street and Bryce immediately started pointing and talking. It was gibberish non sense, but I knew he was trying to tell me he knew where we were. When we passed the neighbor's house, he pointed and started barking like a dog. A week before, we petted the neighbor's dog in their yard. How did he remember that? I barely remembered that.
Clearly, I need to get this kid a dog.
